Kuwait, January 19 : His Excellency Mr. Ajay
Malhotra, Ambassador of India to Kuwait, kicked off
the Kuwait Kerala Muslim Association’s (KKMA) 10th
anniversary celebrations. The event became very
aureate with the presence of leading
personalities from various organizations ,
media, business institutions and different
walks of life as they witnessed the
grand inauguration of the 10th anniversary as
well as the second phase launching of KKMA’s
renowned Model NRI Project (Mathruka Pravasa
Padhathy – MPP) by the Ambassador. The inaugural
ceremony was held at Indian Community Senior School,
Salmiya on Friday, January 14.
Ajay Malhotra appreciated the works of KKMA and its
leaders for undertaking excellent social projects
like initiation of six free kidney dialysis centers
which are running in Kerala and Karnataka states. He
said that the Model NRI project facilitates a great
change in society what is normally quite difficult.
Apart from money and sources, firm determination and
indefatigable minds have been part of KKMA’s
successful achievements, which are very essential to
make such projects a reality. This
proving social organization can indeed make a
positive impact in the society and particularly
create general awareness at the ground level. This
is a trend, which social workers and other
organizations can follow and bring it in to their
actions. The Model NRI project (MPP) presented by
KKMA is a humble initiative in this direction.
It is an effort to create awareness about the
situation of NRIs to address the problem in earnest,
Ajay Malhotra added.
Chairman Sageer Trikarpur made a presentation
briefing about all social projects which KKMA
carried out in the last nine years and also the
future projects chalked out as part of the 10th year

ten varieties of social projects which KKMA plans to
