KKMA Football Tournament

Kuwait City - KKMA’s sports wings organized the Soccer championship-2009 on 3rd to 10th April 2009 at the Khaithan Football ground
 

The Function was inaugurated by N.A. Muneer, President of KKMA at 7.30 AM.   S.M Basheer, Director of Sports delivered the welcome speech.  Sageer Trikarpur Chairman of KKMA and Akbar Siddique Vice-Chairman KKMA took the guard of honor.

It was an historical moment for KKMA sports wing as everyone witnessed the grand success of football tournament and their mission & vision statement becoming the reality by brining the people together and providing the opportunity for every member of the Organization to participate and demonstrate the talent and spirit and also taking the KKMA sports into the highest level.

Overwhelming spectaculars and foot ball fans were present to witnessed the most thrilling and exiting games among differentg branches of KKMA.

Total 14 teams participated the mega event:  1) Hasawi Shining Star 2) Fahaheel youngsters 3) Riqqa Black Shooters 4) Salmiya Challengers 5) Farwaniya Super Soccer 6) Abbasiya Matrix 7) D.K Milan 8) Star of Riqqa 9) Abbasiya Super 10) Salmiya Brothers 11) City Tigers 12) Abu Halifa 13) Farwaniya Seven Attack 14)Hawally.

The tournament was played and officiated by Indian Football Referees Association (IFRA) referees,

Tournament was conducted in the knockout format divided in to 2 pools with 7 teams in each pool, 2 teams of each pool proceed to the semifinals, all the matches showcased various sports tactics, creative passing, excellent defense, fantastic goals

All teams displayed the best fights in the prestigious tournament to reach to the top,
The semifinal match took between Farwaniya Super Soccer v/s Riqqa Black Shooters and Farwaniya 7 Attack v/s Salmiya Brothers.

The climax of the event was the final match between Riqqa Black Shooters v/s Farwaniya 7 Attack, it was moment of pride for both teams to be in a important final, it was considered as the clash of two Titans, at the end Riqqa Black Shooters dominated the game with their powerful play, displayed the terrific and breath taking game with great technique beating Farwaniya 7 Attack by 6/0 and emerged as a champion.

The exciting day came to an end with the prize distribution ceremony; KKMA management committee distributed the trophies to all the winners

• Winner team - Riqqa Black Shooters
• Runner up team - Farwaniya 7 Attack
• First scorer of the Finals - Rafi from Riqqa Black Shooters
• Top Scorer of the tournament – Sali from Riqqa Black Shooters
• Best Goalkeeper of the tournament - P.K Abdul Kareem from Salmiya Brothers
• Player of the Tournament – A. Salam from Riqqa Black shooters

KKMA Sports Director S. M Basheer thanked all the members, match referee and sponsors for the support and contribution for making the event so successful

KKMA Vice President for Socio Cultural B.M. Iqbal handed over the special momentum to A.P. Salam, working President of KKMA for his contribution to the tournament

KKMA President Mr. N. A Muneer congratulated the winning team, in his concluding speech he has applauded the efforts and outstanding contribution of KKMA sports wing for taking the sports into the highest level and their achievement in sports field.
