KKMA launched women’s organization
IMLA to unite for good

Kuwait City – The Kuwait Kerala Muslim Association (KKMA), the
leading social welfare organization of Indian nationals in Kuwait
launched its women’s organization IMLA (Indian Muslim Ladies
Association) on the 3rd of April, 2009 along with varieties of
programme.
The event started with the recitation of Holy Quran by Muhsina Abdul
Muneer. Mrs. Nameera Isham, General Secretary of IMLA, welcomed the
attendees.

The event was presided over by Mrs. Arifa Abdul Fatah, President of
IMLA. She gave a brief sketch of the vision and the future plans of
IMLA. She urged the women to unite for good and actively participate
in all the program’s which IMLA would be conducting in the coming
months.
The chief guest Mrs. Sridevi Pradeep (Principal of Indian Community
School of Kuwait, Khaitan branch) launched the event, and conveyed
beautiful messages to all parents by informing them that each child
begins his/her lessons from the mother and it’s the parent’s stream
or guidelines which each child will first intake.

Dr. Rooba
Mosses (a well known gynecologist at German Clinic) gave her best to
all women with a detailed informative presentation on how and when
to seek a doctor during various gynecology cases.
Mr. Eby Jospeh,
Executive Chef at Le Meridien launched the flair of the forthcoming
cooking contest of IMLA by handing it over to KKMA chairman Mr.
Sageer Trikarpur. Mr. Eby gave all the audience the tips of how he
will judge the contest to be held next month.
Mrs. Gracey Saju, winner of the last two cooking contest of KKMA,
did a wonderful job, on how to cook and present the food which will
be a challenge for all participants in the next contest. The show
was a new experience for the audience as Mrs. Gracey created wonders
with fruits and vegetables in front of their eyes. In appreciation
of her great effort IMLA’s chief guest handed over her a beautiful
gift on behalf of IMLA.

How to make use of our free time was showed by IMLA’s treasurer Mrs.
Nasreen Siddique with a talent show of flower making with variety of
cloth materials. Each flower had its own unique style depending on
the cloth.
Felicitations were given by Mr. Sageer Trikarpur (chairman, KKMA)
and Mr. N.A. Muneer (president, KKMA).

IMLA’s tiny tots, Aftab Muhammad Thayyil, Rifa Hamza, Aani Fathima,
Rasha Fathima, Shahima Ibrahim entertained the guest with their
songs, short stories and group song. Rasna Hamza gave a speech on
modern media and Islam. Programme hosts Samah Sageer and Sana
Siddique did their excellent job with their whole hearted work till
the end.
The event was concluded with the vote of thanks by Saneeba Abdul
Gafoor, Secretary of IMLA.
The Indian Muslim Ladies Association has been formed for the purpose
of promoting good fellowship among its members and of encouraging
participation in the social activities of the Association.
The launching event, held within less than a month of its formation
on 6th March 2009, has proved the capability of this group to
conduct such colorful events efficiently in a short span of time.
